Simplified Audit Procedures for Small Emitters under EU-ETS
We audit all Small Emitter aircraft operators, such as business jet operators and corporate flight departments, using our cost effective and simplified approach.
- All non-commercial operators with less than 25.000t of CO2 / year or with less than 243 flights per 4-month period are small emitters.
- Small emitters can use a simplified ETS reporting procedure (Small Emitters Tool or the ETS Support Facility from Eurocontrol).
- Our simplified verification approach without a site visit can be executed simply by exchanging scanned documents by email.
- Non commercial operators who emit less than 1.000t of CO2 are temporarily exempt until 2020. But it is the responsibility of the operator to ensure that they comply and not exceed the 1.000t CO2 threshold.
